Tuition assistance is available based upon income guidelines and is distributed annually. If seeking tuition assistance, a family must apply through the FACTS program on or before May 15 each year. Applications are available on-line. Tuition assistance may be available up to 50% of the current tuition per student per qualified family. It is never guaranteed and can vary from year to year. Tuition assistance applications are anonymously reviewed by the Finance Committee based on reports provided by FACTS. Contact the school for more information on how to apply.
Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program
West Branch School participates in Pennsylvania's EITC program, which means we may receive contributions from local businesses to support families who qualify for additional help with tuition costs. Businesses receive a 75% or 90% tax credit for donating through this program. When you apply for tuition assistance at WBS, your funding may come from this program.
Do you own a business and wish to redirect your tax dollars back into the community? If so, this program would be great for you! Click here to find out more about EITC, or call our office at 570-323-5498.
Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Program
The OSTC offers a state tax credit to businesses that choose to contribute in order to provide tuition assistance in the form of scholarships to eligible students residing within the boundaries of a low-achieving school to attend another public school outside of their district, or a non-public school. We are glad to be a participator/recipient in this program.
