Academic Goals
In coming to West Branch School, your child is entering a program that is a process. The sooner a child enters the process in his or her early elementary years, the better formed will be the positive habits and perspectives held by this child upon leaving the school in the seventh year (sixth grade age) and, in some cases, eighth or ninth year. Because we view the social and emotional development of each child as a facet of his/her being that cannot and should not be separated from the learning that takes place in the academic content areas, the program offers a comprehensive approach to the whole child, including the childs growing comprehension of his/her personal relationship with family, community, nation, world, and even cosmos.
